Zesty Salsa Verde Chicken Bake 


What You'll Need 

 1 Glass Baking Dish 

 Oven preheated to 400 Degrees 

Ingredients Serves 4:

1 1/2 cups of Salsa Garcia Salsa Verde

2 1/2 cups of Chicken, Pork or Beans (Use crab meat to make a seafood bake) 

8 Corn Tortillas

2 cups Pepper Jack Cheese 

2 Cups Cojita Cheese 

1 Cup Sour Cream 

1 Cup Chopped Cilantro   

2 Cups Diced Tomatoes

3 Garlic Cloves Diced 

2 Poblano Chiles Deseeded and Cut into Strips (Optional) 

1/4 Cup Chopped Green Onions (Optional) 

1 Avocado 

Bake Filling

In a mixing bowl combine 1 cup of sour cream and ¾ cups of Salsa Verde to your cooked chicken, pork or bean mixture



Lightly coat the bottom of your baking dish with the Salsa Verde, then lay 4 tortillas in a pattern that covers the bottom of the dish. Top the tortillas with half of your chicken mixture, half of your grated cheese, half of the tomatoes, half of the chiles, half of green onions and half of the cilantro (This will be your bottom layer). Repeat those steps again for your second and final layer then place in the oven for 25 mins.
